It's that time of year! Spring cleaning! We have some wonderful tips from Donnita Woodward with Columbia Helping Hands to make our homes shine! Below, we have listed a few snippets from the full video.
Exterior
- Wipe down exterior doors & window (soap and water go a long way)
- Sweep off concrete and entryways
General Interior
- Start from the top- wipe down trim, light fixtures and ceiling fans
- Wipe down interior doors and corners of walls
- Open and clean windows and blinds
- Change air filters
- Wipe down air vents
- Move furniture and clean underneath
Kitchen
- Pull out appliances and clean underneath
- Wipe down stainless appliances with a stainless steel cleaner
- Dump old ice and clean out the ice maker
- Put a can of frozen orange juice or lemonade in the dishwasher and let it run
- Clean metal filter on vent hoods to reduce unwanted smells
- Seal granite counter tops
Bath
- Fill soaker tubs with vinegar and water while running jets
- Scrub jets with a toothbrush
